Black Friday Frenzy: 5 Simple Steps

November 23rd, 2011

1. Game Plan: Whether you are a diehard Black Friday Shopper or you just want ‘to pick up a few things’, the most important rule is to have a strategy. The night before make a list of the stores you will visit, the items you want to get there and attach any corresponding coupons. This is not a day to browse, the stores will be too crowded.
2. Shop the clock: Take the list you just made and organize it in order of what time the stores open. You will have first dibs at all your favorite spots! *Also keep in mind high-demand departments in each store.*
3. Snacks: In order to keep up momentum without missing out on your deals, pack some granola bars, nuts, fruit and water. Snacks packed with nutrients and staying hydrated will be key to bargain-hunting success.
4. Buddy-system: Bring a friend. You can split up and cover more stores.
5. Take a break: People have been known turn ugly durning this shopping-spree. Don’t let this happen to you. When you are being push and shoved, remember to take a breath and don’t get caught up in the negativity. Find a quiet corner of the mall, put on your iPod, take a deep breath and keep going.

I discovered SAME SKY by accident and have ordered probably 30 bracelets in the past 3 weeks. Every friend I have given one to has been almost in tears when I tell them about this cause. Congratulations on helping so many deserving women and doing it in such an elegant and stylish way. As one well traveled friend put it "I always want to buy things like this to help women in other countries, but the stuff is usually so ugly that it makes it hard to get excited about supporting them." These bracelets are so beautiful and I thank you for making my Christmas shopping so easy! Good luck with SAME SKY!

My order is placed now; I will be so proud to wear my "Purple Rain" fabric bracelet. There was an overwhelming response last night after the television program "Inside Edition" aired the Same Sky trade and these beautiful bracelets. I wasn't able to order last night 4-5 hours after airing of the show; many of the bracelets were out of stock. This is a great thing. I am very pleased that my bracelet is on order now; they are so colorful and unique. Thank You, Same Sky.

I just saw a feature on "Inside Edition" TV show regarding the Same Sky initiative for Rwandan genocide survivors.  As a retiree, I couldn't afford  a glass bead bracelet, but purchased a fabric wrap.  I'll wear it with pride and spread the word about this worthwhile enterprise.  How wonderful to see these survivors supporting themselves and improving their lives.  I hope they see each sale as a vote of confidence from those of us who have been more fortunate.  I wish them peace of mind, success and every happiness.

These Rwanadan women who have survived AIDS and the genocide, are making the most beautiful glass bead bracelets and they get the proceeds, for the firat time in their lives thaty have food and shelter and the necessities of life. We all NEED to order a bracelet, NO, they are not cheap but consider it charity! You will feel good about it and have a beautiful bracelet to show for it.
