Resolution. Resolution. Resolution.

December 28th, 2011

Every year we make them and every year we break them.  Here are a few that are easy to keep:

Eat Healthier: This one is a lot easier than you think! If you simply stop drinking soda on weekdays, that is eating healthier.  You can tailor this one to you and your lifestyle.  Reduce the bad, don’t eliminate it – you are still being good to your body and DON’T have to feel guilty when you eat a cookie.

Save Money:  Simple.  Do you buy a coffee every day?  Or eat lunch out at work? Pick one day a week, drink coffee at home or pack your own lunch and put the savings in a jar.  At the end of the year you will have a little extra cash for the holidays and can hold on to the rest of your yearlong savings.

Do good:  We don’t all have time to serve at soup kitchens or tutor underprivileged youth but there are other ways to help others.  Make a habit of donating clothes you don’t wear anymore or become a conscious consumer and try to buy fairtrade and ethically produced items.

The key to effective resolutions is not to make them impossible.  Yes, you can go on an intense diet – but will you really be able to sustain it?  Make your goal attainable and you will succeed.

Good luck and Happy New Year!

My order is placed now; I will be so proud to wear my "Purple Rain" fabric bracelet. There was an overwhelming response last night after the television program "Inside Edition" aired the Same Sky trade and these beautiful bracelets. I wasn't able to order last night 4-5 hours after airing of the show; many of the bracelets were out of stock. This is a great thing. I am very pleased that my bracelet is on order now; they are so colorful and unique. Thank You, Same Sky.

love it.

Not a charity, beautiful women making beautiful pieces of art! Worth every penny, and it is wonderful that the money they earn helps empower the Rwandan women and educates their children!
