Same Sky is proud to announce artist, Romero Britto, as the March Ambassador of the Month!  We are honoring him for his creative and inspiring support of Same Sky since the very beginning.

Here is what Britto has to say about Same Sky:

Q: What drew you to Same Sky? What makes Same Sky unique or stand out from other organizations?

A: I think helping communities in Africa is spectacular; Same Sky is such an amazing and inspiring company, providing jobs to women and single mothers.  You may not know this, but my mom was a single mother so this cause is personal to me.

Q: How does Same Sky’s mission reflect your own interests?

A: I think by helping people grow and reach their dreams through hard work!

Q: Has women’s empowerment always been a part of your life? What does women’s empowerment mean to you?

A: Women’s empowerment caught my attention as I’ve grown older, and had my son, how important this is for our communities, and to create a family.

Q: How do you use your art to reach out to people in need?

A: I see my art as an instrument to bring people together.

Q: Do you have a message for the artisans? Do you have a message for our customers?

A: For both the ladies that create the bracelets and the customers that wear them, I think it’s just amazing that through every bead of each bracelet these women share their dreams with those who wear them.

Romero Britto is an internationally recognized pop artist. He has worked with brands like FIFA and Disney, as well as supports several charities like St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
